The Hen Edit
A hen do with a difference!
The ultimate editorial-inspired, boudoir-ish hen party experience
Not your average hen do.
No sashes. No cheesy games. No awkward posing.
The Hen Edit is a confidence-first, boudoir-style photoshoot designed to celebrate the bride (and her hens) in style. It’s playful, bold, and unashamedly fun, with images you’ll actually want to keep forever.
Think: champagne or tea flowing, music on, laughter filling the studio, guided posing that feels natural, and an editorial vibe that makes everyone feel amazing.
Why This is Different
This isn’t a novelty experience. It’s not a one-size-fits-all photoshoot.
It’s for hens who:
Want something different and memorable
Hate awkward hen party clichés
Love fashion, photography, and a touch of sass
Want to celebrate the bride in a way that’s fun, bold, and unforced
No awkward selfies, no cringe challenges, no pressure just confidence, connection, and laughter.
This is boudoir-ish — not explicit, not forced, and never uncomfortable.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to feel confident already.
You just need to show up with your favourite people.
Everything is guided, relaxed, and designed so everyone feels comfortable, yes even the shy ones.
What to Expect in the Barn Studio
The Studio Vibe
Your session takes place in my barn studio in Peterborough, located on a private farm with plenty of parking. The studio is light-filled, private, and totally relaxed.
It’s somewhere you can let your hair down, sip champagne or a cup of tea and feel completely at ease.
The music is on, the energy is playful, and every session has that “this is so fun!” buzz from the moment you arrive.
This isn’t a silent, serious photoshoot.
It feels more like getting ready together just with someone capturing it beautifully.
Most groups arrive a little nervous.
Most leave buzzing.
How the Session Flows
You won’t be thrown straight in front of the camera.
We ease into things with relaxed group shots first, helping everyone warm up and forget about the camera. From there, the session flows naturally, whether that’s smaller group moments, pair shots, or bride-only images.
Nothing is rigid.
Everything is flexible.
Direction & Posing
You don’t need to think about what to do, that’s my job.
I’ll guide you clearly throughout the session with prompts and direction that create movement, laughter, and connection. There’s no heavy posing and no forced “sexy” moments.
If your group needs more guidance, I’ll step in.
If things are flowing, I’ll let it happen.
The goal is always the same:
natural, unforced, and fun.
What to Wear
You’ll receive outfit guidance ahead of time so no one’s left guessing.
Think:
Lingerie layers
Shirts, blazers, bodysuits
Heels, boots, or barefoot
Nothing explicit. Nothing uncomfortable.
If it feels good to wear, it works.
Comfort Comes First
Participation is always optional.
You can:
Sit out of certain shots
Stay dressed
Join in only for group images
This is a consent-first space, always.
No pressure. No expectations.
The Bride Moment
If the bride wants her moment, this is it.
She steps in front of the camera while the rest of the group becomes the hype squad.
It’s fun, emotional, and often the highlight of the session.
After the Session
You’ll leave feeling:
Energised
Confident
Glad you said yes
A private online gallery will be delivered 2 weeks after the session, filled with images that feel playful, editorial, and very you.
